Sometimes it’s fun to see how it’s made.
PARAMORE - “The News”
A few have asked and I'm excited to share a VFX breakdown for the new Paramore music video. The band and directors really wanted to dial in this retro-futuristic look - something that could have been composited on celluloid back in the 70s or 80s. Many of the effects were additive effects with a few CG moments sprinkled in. Another aspect I wanted to include was the previz we did for this job. We were fortunate enough to use @shiftdynamics.co Colossus Robot but we knew we needed to be as prepared as possible. We prevized all the big moves we knew we wanted in 3D and then handed them off to the robot tech to program. Some of them obviously were too intense to do in real life, but Jon's input really made the moves awesome. I had a lot of fun getting to go crazy on some of these shots, I hope you enjoy this breakdown.

Creating the sandstorms for the AZ Cardinal 2024 opener was no small task. With months of work and R&D we finally landed on something that felt epic and powerful.
Riley Green - “Damn Country Music” Promo
Sometimes you cant shoot dialogue while driving fast. But, a little green screen and some great plates from a talented Director and DP can get you what you need.
Rainbow Kitten Surprise - “LOL” VFX Breakdown
Had a blast bringing this board game vibe to life. This took a lot of planning and calibration to get the miniature world to look right with the real sized humans.
COIN - “Earth To God”
This was a fun one to make. The band really let me to dial in something so fantastical and whimsical. From world building to puppeteering this project had me smiling from start to finish.
Nox Holloway - “Parachute”
VFX breakdown for Nox Holloway's song "Parachute" Director Jimmy Fisco wanted the visuals to have this 70's sci-fi feel to them. With a little R&D we landed on something we are really proud of.
